Booking & fares
9 practical answers for this part of the journey.
What types of journeys can I book?
Brighton Flyway Transport is not only an airport-transfer service. You can book airport transfers, local and long-distance private hire, corporate travel, chauffeur journeys, group travel, events and special occasions.
How do I get a price?
Enter the pick-up, destination, date and time in the booking form, then add the passenger and luggage details. When an active route or geofence pricing rule matches, the fixed fare is shown in the booking flow. Journeys that cannot be priced automatically can move to a custom quote.
Will the fare change after I book?
A fixed fare shown for the journey is not a meter or surge price. The price of every transfer to any airport includes the airport drop-off charge. Your total can change if you change the journey, vehicle, passenger or luggage requirements, add extra stops or select optional extras. Review the final total before confirming.
Can I book a return journey?
Yes. Select Add a return journey in the booking flow. The route is reversed automatically and you can set the return date, time, adults and children before confirming.
Can I add another pick-up on the way?
Yes. Use the extra pick-up option in the booking flow. The additional stop is included in the journey details and pricing; if the route cannot be priced automatically, it can be handled as a custom quote.
How far in advance should I book?
Online booking is available 24/7, but vehicle availability can become limited at busy times. Booking early is recommended. For same-day or very short-notice travel, call Operations so availability can be checked before you rely on the journey.
Do you only collect from Brighton and Hove?
No. Brighton Flyway Transport serves Brighton, Hove, East Sussex and wider South East locations, and can handle long-distance journeys across the UK. Enter the actual addresses in the booking form so the route can be priced or reviewed.
How do I pay for my current online booking?
The current public booking flow does not take an online payment when you confirm. Your booking confirmation shows the total and the fare is due to the driver on the day.
Can I pay in advance?
Yes. If you would prefer to pay in advance, please contact our Operations team and they will arrange payment with you before your journey.
Airport journeys
6 practical answers for this part of the journey.
Which airports can I book?
Major UK airports are recognised by the booking flow. Dedicated route guides are available for Gatwick, Heathrow, Stansted, London City and Southampton, and other UK airport journeys can also be entered for pricing or a custom quote.
How do I book an airport collection?
Enter the airport as the pick-up location and your destination as normal. When an airport is recognised, terminal options appear. Add the flight number, scheduled arrival information and any useful collection notes before confirming.
How will I find my driver at the airport?
Keep the mobile number on the booking switched on and reachable. Your booking stores the airport, terminal, flight details and collection notes so Operations and the assigned driver have the same information. If you need a more formal arrivals-hall collection, add Meet & Greet when available.
What should I do if my flight is delayed, diverted or cancelled?
Contact Brighton Flyway Transport as soon as you know your plans have changed and quote your booking reference. Use the customer booking portal to message our Operations team on WhatsApp with any change or cancellation request. Please ensure that all flight details provided at the time of booking are accurate and complete. Brighton Flyway Transport cannot accept responsibility for delays, missed collections, or additional disruption resulting from incorrect or inaccurate flight information supplied by the customer. If your flight details change, please contact our Operations team as soon as possible so we can update your booking.
Can I add Meet & Greet?
Yes. Meet & Greet is an optional extra on journeys that include an airport. The current configured price is £7. This price is controlled by Operations and matches the booking flow.
What if I do not know the terminal yet?
Choose the Not sure yet option where it is offered and add the terminal later when you know it. For airport collections, keep your flight number and contact details accurate so Operations can help with the collection details.
Vehicles & luggage
5 practical answers for this part of the journey.
How does the website choose a vehicle?
The booking flow uses adults, children and luggage to recommend the smallest suitable vehicle, then shows eligible larger options. It will not intentionally recommend a vehicle that is too small for the details you entered.
How much luggage fits in each vehicle?
As a guide, the Saloon carries up to 4 passengers, 2 large bags and 2 cabin bags; the Estate up to 4 passengers, 3 large bags and 2 cabin bags; the Multi Seater up to 8 passengers, 10 large bags and 5 cabin bags; and the Saloon Executive up to 4 passengers, 2 large bags and 2 cabin bags.
What if none of the standard vehicles fit?
Do not reduce the passenger or luggage details just to force a vehicle choice. If the standard fleet does not fit the booking, arrange a bespoke vehicle quote so Operations can confirm a suitable solution.
Are the vehicle photos the exact cars that will arrive?
No. Vehicle images illustrate the class of vehicle. The exact make, model, colour and configuration can vary with availability, while the booked capacity requirement remains the important part.
What about pushchairs, golf clubs, skis or oversized luggage?
Add the normal bags in the booking flow and tell Operations about unusual or oversized items in the pickup notes or by contacting the team before travel. This helps avoid sending a vehicle without enough usable luggage space.
Families, pets & accessibility
5 practical answers for this part of the journey.
Can I request a child car seat?
Yes. Child car seats are a customer-facing optional extra in the booking flow, currently configured at £5 each. This price is controlled by Operations and matches the booking flow. If you need a particular type of restraint for an infant or child, contact Operations so the requirement can be confirmed rather than assuming any generic seat will be suitable.
Can I bring my own child seat?
Yes. If you prefer to use your own child restraint, allow for the extra item when planning luggage space and tell Operations if it affects the vehicle size you need.
Can I travel with a pet?
Yes. Pets can be added in the booking flow, currently configured at £3.50 each. This price is controlled by Operations and matches the booking flow. The customer terms require pets to be kept secure and under control, and advance notice helps the driver prepare the vehicle.
What about an assistance dog?
An assistance dog is not treated as the paid pet extra. Tell Operations in advance so the requirement is recorded with the booking and the appropriate assistance can be arranged without an additional pet charge.
Can you carry a wheelchair or mobility aid?
Tell Operations about mobility requirements before travel so a suitable vehicle can be confirmed. Foldable wheelchairs or mobility aids may be carried where they can be transported safely; if you require a wheelchair-accessible vehicle, confirm availability with the team rather than assuming a standard vehicle is accessible.
Changes, cancellations & help
6 practical answers for this part of the journey.
Can I change my booking after it is confirmed?
Yes. Use the customer booking portal to message Operations on WhatsApp, or contact Operations directly. Changes are reviewed before they are applied, and a route, date, vehicle or passenger change can affect availability or price.
How do I cancel a booking?
Use the customer booking portal to message Operations on WhatsApp, or contact Operations directly as soon as possible and quote the BFT booking reference. Cancellations cannot be submitted directly through the portal. Any fee or refund depends on the cancellation and refund terms that apply to the booking and the circumstances at the time.
What happens if a refund is approved?
Operations records the adjustment against the booking. Where a card refund is applicable, it can be returned against the original payment; bank or card-provider processing times are outside Brighton Flyway Transport's control.
I left something in the vehicle. What should I do?
Contact Brighton Flyway Transport as soon as possible with your booking reference, journey date and a description of the item. The Lost Property page explains how reports are handled.
How do I make a complaint or give feedback?
Use the Contact page or the published Complaints procedure and include your booking reference where possible. That gives Operations the journey record needed to investigate the issue properly.
What information should I double-check before confirming?
Check the full pick-up and destination addresses, date and time, airport terminal where known, passenger numbers, all luggage, mobile number and any flight or collection notes. These are the details Operations and the assigned driver use to deliver the journey.
